Had to check with Paul what we did yesterday I think I need a rest, because we had a great visit to the Tabasco factory the only place in the world where Tabasco sauce is made. We had a giggle trying the different flavours but I couldn't quite come at the hottest called scorpion (1,500,000 on the scoville scale compared to Jalapenos 5000 on the Scoville scale) after trying a very small taste of Scorpion I was suffering for a while afterwards just a tad to hot. It turned out OK after lunch, we had Nachos mine was full of crawfish (small shrimp or prawns) Yumo!!
Our Airbnb was about 15mins out of Lafayette a beautiful cottage done in a French provincial style and very appropriate for the area, into downtown for tea, just a big country town, 130 000, but being Saturday night the place was jumping with different bands on every corner just about, from jazz to classical violins with art walks and artisans selling their wares along the street. Mexican again for tea in an attempt to find something other than seafood, we're hoping Texas will offer some good steak!!
Sunday today and a bit of a long stretch driving to Houston yet another TURN PIKE they are crazy all over the place thank god for siri or what ever her name is or I think we would probably still be in Buffalo trying to get off the turn pike there. And of course the obligatory thunder storm this one was a beauty as we jumped out of the car and ran into a bar for lunch as the heavens let loose, never a dull moment on this trip.
