New Orleans Day 3/4

Yesterday we spent the day travelling up the Mississippi delta on lake Pontchartrain to a backwater bayou and ventured along the waterways to see what the real swamp people do! We had a great day learning about the history of N.O. and the devastation that Katrina did back in 2005. It rained heavily during the day and that was an experience as our Air

bnb leaked water into the power point!
We had a Cajun Seafood meal for tea.
Today we headed out again to see the aftermath of Katrina which is still very apparent as people who chose to leave after the hurricane didn't return; the court cases that followed to point the blame of the destruction of 17th street levee and others took another 7 years and finally was dismissed.
In the afternoon we headed back into town to walk the streets and Heather went into another museum!! I went talking to people in stores and bought some souveniers.
We had another great African/cajun meal. Yum.
And another walk around the French Quarter and we headed down Bourbon St with more bands competing for business a great area for the young ones great experience for us but home early.
