Back in New York

We made it without any problems the flights from Houston - Miami - JFK where all on time and we even had a shuttle to our hotel and found an Applebees restaurant across the road so more shrimp and beer Paul can't understand my seafood fetish.
So yesterday we had a day free so what do you do?  spend the day in Manhattan!! a shuttle bus to the train (Cedarhurst, Long Island) big Jewish population and very nice suburb.  It took 45 mins on the train but it is a very comfortable train, into Penn station across the road from Madison Square Gardens which is round.  Then off and walking New York turned on some very pleasant 24 degree weather no rain and humidity the lowest we have experienced since being here all in all a nice day.
We headed to the Hi line a green walk way that has been developed along the old raised train track that was used to transport goods through the industrial west side it is a lovely spot to walk and sit and get a different view of the New York sky line and a different aspect as you look in the back of the apartment buildings.  The art work and gardens along the way are lovely as well, we found Chelsea market and I had crab chowder while we found Paul another Rueben sandwich but he said he has had better he's becoming an expert on the Reubens (that's corned beef with cheese and sauerkraut).
OK off to Macys for last minute shopping and found our way back to Penn station
GOOD BYE NEW YORK thank you Paul for taking me to my favourite place in the world.
I am writing this at 0530 cause I couldn't sleep before getting on this plane for the long haul home.
